I think you answer your own thought in using the term “procreative sexes”. You should read the parts of my previous article “On Truly Changing Sex” (https://kim-hipwell.medium.com/on-truly-changing-sex-a7770e903810) which cover anisogamy and different scopes of what is meant by “sex”. We don’t and shouldn’t define people simply in terms of their procreative role.
